Stroud Light Music Choir

Latest News

At the Choir Annual Dinner in November we said good bye to Brenda Wood who had been our Musical Director for 10 years. She was presented with a wooden fruit bowl as a reminder of her time with us. Brenda first came to Stroud Light Music Choir as a soloist. She sang the part of Katisha in the Autumn 1999 production of The Mikado. Her first production as Musical Director was Merry England in Spring 2000 and she has led the choir through 20 successful productions since then. She lives at Trimley in Worcestershire. We wish her well in her future activities and thank her for her work with the choir.

We were sorry to hear of the death of the husband of our regular accompanist, Margaret Holloway. This happened a few days before our production of The Gondoliers.

At short notice, however our musical director was able to secure the services of Catherine Newman. We are grateful that she was able to step in.
